Edward Howard Woodruff, age 56, died suddenly at his home on February 19, 2015. Ed was born November 26, 1958 in Northbrook, Illinois to Richard and Rosemary (Eggert) Woodruff. He attended Glenbrook Alternative School where he graduated.
Ed married the love of his life, Kathie (Eagle) Woodruff on March 30, 2002 at the York Baptist Church in Thomson, Illinois. Ed worked very hard throughout his life doing many different things, but truly enjoyed truck driving. His passions in life included riding his motorcycle, trains, building model airplanes, the outdoors, spending time in his shed listening to music and a good bonfire. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his wife and family.
Survivors include his wife, Kathie (Eagle) Woodruff of Thomson; one son, Jon (Sara) Eagle of Fulton, their children, Matt, Jack, Emmajean and Waylon; one daughter, Tia (Wayne) Richards of Morrison, Illinois, and their children, Elise, John and Alice; his stepmom who raised him, Judy Woodruff of Savanna; his brother Earl (Kim) Woodruff, Rosemary Woodruff, and two step-siblings, Pam Klein and Jeff McCrindle.
Ed is preceded in death by his infant son, Kyle; his father, Richard Woodruff, and mother-in-law, Eleanor Eagle. Cremation rites have been set, and there will be no services per his wishes. Memorials may be sent to Kathie Woodruff.
