Donald Wilson, age 84, of Sabula, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 10, 2005 Alverno Nursing Home, Clinton, Iowa. Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2005 at the Evergreen Cemetery, Sabula, Iowa. Pastor Michael Jones

Father Thomas Hennen of Prince of Peace Parish
in Clinton, Iowa will officiate. Memorials may
be given to the family in Donald’s name.
Donald was born January 11, 1921, the son of
Charles and Minerva (Honerbaum) Wilson in Groton, South Dakota. He graduated from Sabula High School, Sabula, Iowa, Class of 1939. Donald married Donna Joanne Sandholdt, she passed away December 2, 2000. He attended Clinton Community College in Clinton, Iowa. He served in the United States Army during World War II in Germany. He retired as a First Sergeant from the Army Reserves.
Donald worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the Savanna Army Depot retiring in 1980.
Donald was a member of the Sabula American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed photography, hunting and fishing.
Donald is survived by his son, Michael Joseph (Janice) Wilson of Fulton, Illinois; a daughter, De Anne Ottaway of Santa Fe, New Mexico; son in-law, John Nye of Main Beach, Australia; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Joanne; and son in-law, Loren Ottaway.
