Dolores Marie Bogue, age 84, formerly of Savanna, Illinois, died September 17, 2011. A private memorial service will be held and burial will take place in Woodbine Cemetery, Woodbine.
Dolores was born December 13, 1926, the daughter of George and Mabelle (Hatheway) Doyle in Sabula, Iowa. She attended Savanna High School. Dolores married Virgil A. Bogue on November 19, 1944. Virgil died in 1996. With her husband’s Navy career they moved within the United States before settling in Sunnyvale, California. Dolores worked for Hewlett Packard working in International Sales as a Supervisor and retired from the company. She and her husband were avid square dancers and enjoyed traveling in their trailer. After retiring she was active in bowling, Tai Chi, Hawaiian dancing, golfing and traveling. But most of all Dolores loved her family.
Dolores is survived by her daughter, Kathryn (Matt) Harris of California; two sons, Gary D. (Patricia) Bogue of New Hampshire, Dennis A. (Terri) Bogue of Washington; eleven grandchildren, Adam Bogue, Jacob Bogue, Madeleine Wells-Bogue, Wegene Wells-Bogue, Gary Wells-Bogue, Wiane Grace Wells-Bogue, Merhawi Wells-Bogue, Yergalem Wells-Bogue, Abebe Wells-Bogue, Hannah Knowles, Julia Knowles; two honorary grandchildren, Emily and Martin Dietz; a great grandchild, Mason Bogue; two brothers, John (Edie) Dwinnells, Gerald (Theresa) Doyle. Dolores proceeded in death by her parents and a brother Kenneth Dwinnells.
