Diana M. England

Diana M. England, 87, of Savanna, Illinois, formerly of Thomson, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Big Meadows Nursing Home in Savanna.

Diana was born on August 19, 1939, in Savanna, Illinois, the daughter of Carlton A. and Emily E. (Rowland) Phillips. She was raised in the Thomson area and was a graduate of Thomson High School with the Class of 1951.

On May 9, 1966, Diana married Floyd E. England. Together, they shared 52 years of marriage and raised their son, Todd, before Floyd's passing on June 10, 2018. For many years, Diana worked alongside her husband in banking, serving as an owner and officer at the Thomson State Bank. She was also a faithful member of the Thomson Methodist Church.

Remembered by those who knew her best as a gentle, wonderful, and sweet lady, Diana found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, but above all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends, and she especially enjoyed traveling.

Diana will be dearly missed by her brother, Jack D. (Judy) Phillips of Chandler, Arizona; her special friend, Anita Stoddard; and her extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Emily; her beloved husband, Floyd; her son, Todd England; and her brother, Gerald Phillips.
