Dennis K. Wilhelm

Dennis K. Wilhelm, age 59, of Clinton, Iowa, formerly of Miles, Iowa, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2007 at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Preston, Iowa, with Reverend Gregory Geier officiating. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery in Preston, Iowa. Military rites will be accorded. A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2007 at the Miller-Law-Jones Funeral Home in Preston, Iowa. A Memorial fund has been established.

Dennis was born on March 22, 1947, the son of Kenneth and Vera (Lampe) Wilhelm in Preston, Iowa. He attended Miles Schools and graduated from Miles High School with the Class of 1965. Dennis served his country in the United States Navy from 1965 until 1969. Dennis was a self-employed Owner Operator Truck Driver for over 30 years. He was a former member of the Eagles Club in Clinton, Iowa. Dennis enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving, caring and devoted father.

Dennis will be dearly missed by his mother, Vera Wilhelm of Clinton, Iowa; three sons, Troy (Lori Wilson) Wilhelm of Sabula, Iowa, Chad (Heather) Wilhelm of Preston, Iowa and Aaron (Candice Hagen) Wilhelm of Clinton, Iowa; five grandchildren; two brothers, Durwin (Brenda) Wilhelm of Preston and Dave (Anna Kilburg) Wilhelm of Clinton; two sisters, Dianna Shirley of Camanche, Iowa and Debbie (Duane) Johnson of Clinton.

Dennis is preceded in death by his father and one infant brother, Mark.
