Dennis Miller

Dennis A. Miller, age 72, of Lanark, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at home. Cremation rites have been accorded and private burial of ashes will be held at the Lanark Cemetery at a later date.

Dennis was born January 6, 1946 in Freeport, Illinois, the son of Miles and Margaret (Derrer) Miller. He is a 1964 graduate of the Lanark High School. Dennis then received a teaching degree from McPherson College in Kansas. After graduation, Dennis taught in Milledgeville Schools for two years and worked on the family farm. He then found his passion in life, truck driving across country. Dennis drove truck for many years, hauling just about everything all over the U.S. He loved seeing the country and getting home to see family. In later years, Dennis enjoyed his daily breakfast with friends.

Dennis will be dearly missed by a brother, Samuel (Jill) Miller of Lanark; and a sister, Kathleen (Jodi) Bausman of Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Dennis is preceded in death by both parents.
