Delilah Adams, age 87 of Mount Carroll, Illinois died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at FHN Memorial Hospital, Freeport, Illinois.
The youngest child of Joseph Henry and Mabel (Reese) Buckwalter. Delilah grew up in Woodland Township and attended country schools. On November 21, 1948, she married Harry W. Adams.
An avid reader who enjoyed feeding birds and wildlife, she lived most of her life in Mt. Carroll, except for a few years in the 1970's when Harry's job took them to New York and Japan. During WWII Delilah worked at the Savanna Army Depot, and later at Marth Brothers Ben Franklin "dime store" in Mt. Carroll. Delilah is survived and will be dearly missed
by her daughter, Diane Adams of Syracuse, New York and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry in 1987; two brothers, Lester and Ted; her sister, Doris Pauley; and both parents.
