David Andrew Przybylski Sr., age 65 of Savanna, Illinois died on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial gathering will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the Palisades Golf Course, 18280 IL Rte 84, Savanna with military rites accorded by the Savanna V.F.W. Post #2223 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Savanna V.F.W. Post #2223, Savanna.
David was born on March 5, 1947, the son of William F. and Helen D. (Vicich) Przybylski in Joliet, Illinois. He attended school at Joliet Township High School graduating with the Class of 1965 and later earned his Bachelors Degree in Criminology from Joliet College. David proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1966-1968. During his enlistment, David wrote articles for Stars and Stripes before he was honorably discharged. David married Diane M. Sproule on March 23, 1979 in Galena, Illinois.
David was a Controls Engineer for UNICAL 76 in Lockport, Illinois until retiring and moving to Savanna in 2005. He was a member or the Savanna V.F.W. Post #2223, where he served as Senior Vice Commander. David also served as a member of the V.F.W. Honor Guard and was active in numerous club functions. David loved the outdoors, especially golfing and fishing. He was also and excellent cook and master griller. Most of all, David cherished spending time with his family and friends.
David will be dearly missed by his wife, Diane; one son, David (Belinda) Przybylski Jr. of Hazel Green, Wisconsin; three daughters, Tammy (Brian) Locasto of North Richland, Texas, Carrie (Eric) Brumitt of Belleville, Illinois and Cindy (Ed) Foley of Galena, Illinois; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his mother, Helen Przybylski of Joliet; one brother, Bill (Kathy) Przybylski of Shorewood, Illinois and his Irish Terrier, Tuffy.
David was preceded in death by his father, William; two sons, Aaron Przybylski and Danny Curley; and one sister, Joan Przybylski.
