David LaTouche, age 64, of Chadwick, Illinois, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, Illinois. A remembrance gathering will be held at 5- 7 pm., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll.
David was born December 3, 1953, in Manhattan, New York, the son of Enoch and Helen Kay (Meyer) LaTouche. He attended Prophetstown High School, Sauk Valley College and MIT in Morrison. David served his country in the United States Army for two years. In May 1985, David married Wendy Wilburn. She passed away in 1985.
David worked as a truck driver and owned and operated Thee Touch Trucking in Chadwick for several years. Over the years, he had lived in several places including New York, Machesney Park, Chadwick, and Prophetstown, Illinois.
David leaves behind Patrick Leisner, Tamara Krug, Heidi Fansler, and Heather Rodriguez who were all like siblings to him; his “other mother”, Sharon Meyer Kyker; and his beloved brothers and sisters in AA and NA who meant so much to him and he loved dearly.
David is preceded in death by his wife, Wendy; his parents, Enoch and Helen Kay; and his beloved dog, Henry.
