Daryl Gonyier

Daryl Gonyier, Jr., age 23, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Savanna, Illinois, died Friday, April 25, 2014 in Louisiana. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday May 2, 2014 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in Daryl’s memory.
Daryl was born August 19, 1990, the son of Daryl Gonyier and Carla Siegwarth in Clinton, Iowa. He attended West Carroll High School.
Daryl worked in games, concessions and maintenance for Gold Star Amusement in Marrero, Louisiana, and as an independent contractor in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. He loved the outdoors, fishing, mushroom hunting, and taking on the challenge of fixing things. He especially loved spending time with his son, Colton, and his friends.
Daryl will be dearly missed by his girlfriend Jennifer Johnson, of Fort Worth, Texas; one son, Colton Gonyier; his father, Daryl Gonyier, Sr. and his mother Carla Siegwarth of Savanna; three brothers, Derik Gonyier of Savanna, Antonio Gonyier of Clinton, and Marco Gonyier of Reynosa, Mexico; three sisters, Kayla Gonyier Norem of Clinton, Erika Gonyier and Kayla Jones of Savanna; his maternal grandmother, Joetta Siegwarth of Clinton; several aunts and uncles, and many, many friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
