Darrel "Butch" Tebbe

Darrel “Butch” Tebbe, age 68, of Spragueville, Iowa died on June 7, 2026. Graveside services will be held at the Spragueville Cemetery on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 10:30 AM. A luncheon will follow at the Corner Stop restaurant in Preston, IA.

Darrel was born May 26, 1958, the son of Sylvester “Scout” and Arlene Tebbe. He attended Preston Schools. Darrel married Dianne Asmussen on May 13, 1978 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Preston, Iowa. The couple has farmed north of Spragueville most of their married life. Darrel enjoyed spending his days being out on the farm. Darrel’s final gift was to be an organ donor. 

Darrel is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dianne, two children, Michele (Kevin) Andresen and Perry (Dacey) Tebbe; four grandchildren, one great grandchild, his mother-in-law, Peggy Asmussen, and several brothers and sisters. Darrel was preceded in death by his parents, his father in-law, Dale Asmussen, and a sister in-law, Margaret Tebbe.
