Dan was born on July 22, 1974, the loving son of Francis and Linda Snider. Raised with a strong work ethic and a love for the land, Dan graduated from Milledgeville High School with the Class of 1992, where he was a proud and active member of the Milledgeville FFA. He went on to further his education at Highland Community College, earning an Associates Degree in Agriculture in 1994.

A true farmer at heart, Dan dedicated his life and career to agriculture. Over the years, he worked for Milky Way Farms, the Milledgeville Vet Clinic, Kness Trucking, Wilson Custom Grinding, and proudly worked alongside his loved ones at Snider Family Farms. Dan was known for his generous spirit and was always willing to lend a hand to area farmers and friends with their livestock and fieldwork.

Dan had a lifelong passion for showing cattle and loved attending local shows. He watched many cattle auctions on his phone. When he wasn't hard at work or in the barn, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, or just chatting with his many friends. Dan was also a lifelong member of Hope United Methodist Church in Chadwick.

He will be deeply missed by his parents, Francis and Linda Snider of Milledgeville; his four siblings, Debra (Mike Whitmarsh) Merchant of Mt. Carroll, Susan (Melvin) Milnes of Forreston, Steven (Laura) Snider of Lanark, and Denise Snider of Milledgeville; his nieces and nephews, Heather (Chris) Friedler, Jeremy (Allison) Milnes, Amy (Seth) Dummer, Jason (Nichole) Milnes, Justin (Ashley) Milnes, Carli Snider, and Coby (McKenzie Nyhus) Snider; one aunt, Mina Linker of Freeport; an uncle, Albert Williams of Lanark; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and a great many friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Alice Snider; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Erma Williams; an aunt, Bonnie Williams; an uncle, Wayne Linker; and his cousins, David Linker and Angela Williams.
