Dakota Pleuss

Dakota Pleuss, age 23, of Savanna, Illinois passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 at home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 11, 2016 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in Dakota’s memory.
Dakota was born February 15, 1992, the son of Gary Cather and Stacy (Pleuss) Mennenga. He attended Fulton High School with the Class of 2010. Dakota was a very fun-loving, big hearted person. He loved everyone, and helped everybody in any way he could. You never saw Dakota without a smile on his face. He made friends with everyone he met. He loved to go to Green’s Tap in Savanna to help Grandpa Tony with his work.
Dakota will be dearly missed by his mother Stacy Mennenga; his father, Gary Cather; stepfather, James Mennenga of Fulton, Illinois and one brother, Steven Mennenga of Peoria, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his sister, Katie Mennenga; stepmother, LeAnn Mennenga, and his grandmother, Vera Mennenga.
