Connie Lease

Connie S. Lease, age 65, of Savanna, Illinois passed away December 25, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna, Illinois with Pastor Ellis Boughton officiating. A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. A memorial fund has been established in Connie’s memory.
Connie was born on December 17, 1950, the daughter of Lloyd and Geraldine (Putman) Johnson. She attended Mt. Carroll High School, Mt. Carroll, Illinois and graduated with the Class of 1969. On December 16, 1978, Connie married the love of her life Claude F. “Butch” Lease Jr. at the Presbyterian Church in Savanna.
Connie worked for many years at Swiss Colony in Savanna, where she primarily worked with production setup. Connie was a past member of the Episcopal Church in Savanna, she was also a member of the Church of God in Mt. Carroll. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. Most of all, Connie enjoyed spending time with her family and all of her special “Adopted Family”.
Connie will be dearly missed by her husband Butch; three sisters, Linda (Steve) Sippel of Thomson, Mary (Richard) Smith of Shannon, Illinois, and Roxanne (David) Kness of Chadwick, Illinois; one sister in-law, Ann Johnson of Savanna; and many nieces and nephews. Connie was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Judith Johnson; and one brother, John Johnson.
