Claudia was born December 28, 1943, in West Palm Beach, FL, the daughter of Claude and Irene (Farrand) Cartwright. She graduated from LP Goodrich High School, in Fond du Lac, WI, with the class of 1962; in 1963, she graduated from Cradle School of Nursing, in Evanston, IL. On February 1, 1964, Claudia married Peter Eiteuner at Sacred Heart Church, in Fond du Lac. The two went on to celebrate 48 years of marriage before Pete's passing in 2012.

Following their wedding, Claudia and Pete made their home in Fond du Lac and started their family. In 1988 the couple moved to Mt. Carroll, for nine years, then to North Dakota for a few years as Pete made a career of the railroad. After his retirement, he and Claudia returned to Mt. Carroll to live out the rest of their days.

Claudia was a loving mother and homemaker who placed her family first. Though her family was her top priority, she never failed to find enough hours in the day to pour herself into her community, as well. One would often find her volunteering her efforts, as she served many community roles. She is a past president of Friends of Mt. Carroll Library, SS John and Catherine Ladies Society, Mt. Carroll Ministerial Assoc., and Ladies of the Knight. She also served as secretary of the Mt. Carroll CDC Board, and was a Chamber of Commerce board member.

Ever an active lady, Claudia used quilting and reading to unwind, and she and Pete loved to travel. They found their way to places such as Finland, Australia, Albania, Italy, and numerous destinations throughout the United States. After Pete's death Claudia found companionship in Jim Komiskey. The two of them spent several happy years by each other's side. They loved going on those motorcycle rides together!

Claudia will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a dear friend to many. She is survived by a daughter, Laura (Scott Amrhein) Eiteuner, of Evansville, WI; son, Mark (Mary Frances) Eiteuner, of O'Fallon, IL; two grandchildren, Joanna Schommer, of Fond du Lac, WI, and Peter (Brittany Williams), of Fond du Lac, WI; four great grandchildren, Logan, Kira, Camden, and Autumn; a brother, Calvin (Felicia) Cartwright, of Oakfield, WI; three sisters-in-law, Mary Eiteuner, of Winchester, WI, Evelyn (Francis) Nett of Milton, WI, and Beatrice Eiteuner of Van Dyne, WI, and her companion, Jim Komiskey. Claudia is preceded in death by her husband Pete, parents Claude and Irene Cartwright, in-laws, Agnes and Pete Eiteuner, and her brother-in-law Thomas Eiteuner.
