Christine Ann Jensen

Christine Ann Jensen, age 63, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away on September 19, 2025, with her family by her side.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savanna. Visitation will take place that morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in Antl Hall at the church.

Christine was born on March 1, 1962, in Savanna, the daughter of Clyde and Rosalind (Altensey) Boyer. She graduated from Mt. Carroll High School with the Class of 1980. Devoted to serving others, she worked in food service for 16 years at Buck’s Barn and later as a beloved school lunch lady.

On September 6, 1997, Christine married Joe Jensen at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. They shared many happy moments until Joe’s passing in August 2024. Christine cherished riding on the motorcycle with Joe for date nights, day trips, and the occasional overnight getaway.

Christine enjoyed flower gardening and baking, often sharing her creations with loved ones. She found joy in family gatherings and traditions, where her warmth and laughter brought people together. Above all, family was everything to her, and she especially cherished every moment with her granddaughter, Brielle.

Christine will be deeply missed by her family and by everyone whose hearts she touched. Especially by her very own “splinter soul,” her granddaughter Brielle, who brought her endless joy and love. She has now been lovingly greeted in heaven by her beloved husband, her parents who cherished her, and her special mother-in-law.

To honor Christine’s spirit, the family asks that guests wear bright colors—especially yellow or purple, her favorites—instead of black, reflecting the way she always brightened every room.
