Charlene Ann O'Neill

Charlene Ann O’Neill, age 82, passed away April 4, 2025 at MercyOne Hospital, in Clinton, IA. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Charlene was born August 26, 1942, in Savanna, IL, the daughter of William and Bernice (Bailey) Bousman. She attended Savanna schools, and shortly after, met Robert O’Neill, who was stationed at the Savanna Army Depot. The couple was married on June 30, 1962.

Charlene was a homemaker while her children were young; and also worked a number of jobs, Face Makers and Pinnacle Place being the most recents. She always had a love for crafts, and opened a ceramics shop that allowed her to combine business with her passion.

Charlene enjoyed planting and tending to her flowers, and crafting things for her home and for family. In her younger years she enjoyed riding motorcycles and had been Senior Regent with the Moose Lodge at one time, and she and Bob always loved competing in local dart leagues.

Most of all, Charlene loved her family. She will be dearly missed by her sons, Tim O’Neill and Chad (Marla) O’Neill, both of Savanna; daughter, Regina (Dennis) Jordan, of Thomson; four grandchildren, Samantha, Bridget, Montana, and Hunter; six great grandchildren her niece, Dalene, with whom she had a special bond with; and more nieces & nephews. Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, William and Bernice; husband, Bob; two siblings; 3 nephews, and a daughter-in-law, Kim O’Neill.
