Cecil Mobley

Cecil B Mobley born January 31, 1932 passed away Sunday the 25th day of October 2020 due to complications From Covid at MercyOne Medical Clinic in Clinton IA. He was 88 years old.

Cecil served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge for many years. He worked for John Deere Harvester in Moline IL where he retired after 30 years. He also worked for the Branson School district in Branson MO and owned a small discount grocery store in Marshfield MO after his retirement. Cecil enjoyed fishing and camping along with walks outdoors with his pet cow Rufus and his dog Luna.

Cecil helped many people in the community of Marshfield MO, He provided employment and food for the less fortunate.

He was preceded in death by his mother Anna B Mobley and father Clifford Mobley as well as a sister Anna Frances Ambrose and brother James Edward Mobley from Bowling Green MO.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Jean Mobley, daughters, Debra Schaver of Albany IL, Donna Johnson of Fulton IL, Kathy Nelson of Chandler AZ and Diana Gardner of Thomson IL and one son Allen Mobley of Buffalo MO. Cecil was also a proud grandfather to eight grandkids as well as eight great-grandkids and three great-great-grandkids. He was also an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
