Cassie L. White, age 95, of Savanna, Illinois, formerly of Des Plaines, Illinois, died on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Big Meadows Nursing Facility in Savanna, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of her cremated remains will take place in the Oakridge-Glen Oak Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois.
Cassie was born on October 11, 1912, the daughter of Harry and Mary (Boomer) Rice in Jerseyville, Illinois. She married Edward B. White on August 16, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. Edward died on June 16, 1995 in Elk Grove, Illinois. Cassie was a nurse’s aide and a member of the Lutheran Faith. She enjoyed crocheting and loved playing Bingo. Cassie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward. She will be dearly missed by many friends.
