Caryn S. Nehrkorn

Caryn Sue Nehrkorn, formerly of Lanark, passed away Friday, September 22, at The Grove of Elmhurst, IL. A private family memorial service will be held. Burial will be in Lanark City Cemetery.

Caryn Sue Nehrkorn was born July 7, 1956, daughter of Walter (Doc) and Evelyn (Wallace) Nehrkorn. She grew up in Lanark and attended Lanark Schools. During her early years Caryn worked at the Savanna Red Fox Grocery Store in the produce department, at the Savanna Savings and Loan and the Savanna High School. In later years she preformed housekeeping and assembly work. When she wasn’t working, Caryn liked to take a nice walk or go for a swim. She loved to sing, and had an affinity for religious and country music. Caryn had one daughter, Karenna, who she loved very much. She will be remembered when she was at her happiest with her family and singing.

Caryn will be dearly missed by her daughter, Karenna Noordhoff of Peoria, IL; and four siblings Janet (Jim) Howard of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Judy (Tom) Hennick of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Craig (Barb) Nehrkorn of Lanark, and Tom (Shirley) Nehrkorn of Lanark. Caryn is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Evelyn.
