Carolyn L. Lease

Carolyn L. Lease, age 91, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2007, at her home in Savanna, Illinois. Cremation will take place with a Memorial Service at a later date.
Carolyn was born on March 13, 1915, the daughter of Alfred and Helen (Beach) Tracy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She attended and graduated from Savanna High School. On July 10, 1933, Carolyn married Claude Lease, Sr. during the World’s Fair in Chicago, Illinois.
Carolyn was a self-employed Seamstress, she worked for J. C. Penney in Clinton, Iowa in the drapery department; as a Cook for the Savanna Army Depot; and she worked at the Ben Franklin Store in Savanna. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. She liked doing crafts, baking and cooking.
Carolyn will be dearly missed by her son, Claude “Butch” (Connie) Lease, Jr. of Savanna; her daughter, Martha Frances (Gary) Page of Hastings, Minnesota; a son in-law, Edward Hiher of Savanna; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband Claude Sr.; her parents; four brothers and her daughter, Marilyn Anne Hiher.
