Carol A. Lindsay, age 80, of Lanark, IL, passed away Friday, December 24th, 2021 at home. A private family funeral service will be held, with burial in Lanark Cemetery.
Carol was born July 4th, 1941 in Lanark, the daughter of Clarence and Rose (Waters) Lotz. Carol graduated from Lanark High School with the class of 1959. Carol married the love of her life, Robert Lindsay, on July 5th, 1959. They raised two sons in Lanark and enjoyed 62 years of marriage. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy.
Carol drove school bus for Eastland School District for 30 plus years and retired right before her first grandchild was born. Her and Bob were true partners as they counted on each other to make it through each day. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. They meant the world to her. The adventures and stories they had together are numerous. Carol will forever hold a huge place in the family’s hearts.
Carol will be dearly missed by her son, Shawn (Mindy) Lindsay of Mt. Carroll, IL; grandson, Kobe Lindsay; granddaughter, Mackenzie Lindsay; and sister, Phyllis (Paul Sr.) Heber of Crystal Lake. Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lindsay; son, John Lindsay; nephew, Scott Lindsay; brother-in-law, Greg Lindsay; sister, Nancy Guenter; brother-in-law, Paul Guenter; and her parents, Clarence and Rose Lotz.
