Carol Joyce Endre

Carol Joyce Endre, age 92, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, at home in Savanna.

Carol was born on June 8, 1934, in Berwyn, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Mabel C. (Young) Wolf. She grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from Farragut High School in 1952. On September 24, 1955, Carol married Robert J. Endre in Chicago. They shared many years together before Robert’s passing on February 22, 1975, in Evanston, Illinois.

Carol worked for many years as an account executive and executive assistant to the vice president at North Town Refrigeration, “Reedy Industries,” in Chicago, retiring after 35 years of dedicated service. She was known for being organized, dependable, and very detail-oriented.

Carol had many interests and talents throughout her life. She enjoyed arts and crafts, loved bowling, and taught judo in her younger years. She especially enjoyed making Christmas ornaments and holiday decorations. Carol also loved watching Jeopardy, The Lawrence Welk Show, and The Young and the Restless. She was an avid game player, especially enjoying Mexican Train while sharing snacks and laughter with family and friends. She also enjoyed going to garage sales and spending time with those she cared about.

Carol was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Carroll and was involved with the Good Samaritan Auxiliary. She credits her deep faith in God, having sustained her through the hard times in life.

Carol will be dearly remembered by her daughter, Barbara McNamara of Savanna; her son-in-law, Brad Robbins; two grandchildren, Victor Scimeca and Vincent Scimeca; and many friends who were blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert J. Endre; her son, Richard Endre; her daughter, Susan Robbins; her son-in-law, John McNamara in 2013; and her sister, Mary Jane Lyle.

A visitation will be held 5-7 pm Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Law Jones Funeral Home, Savanna, with a prayer service held at 6:30pm. Carol will be laid to rest 11am Thursday, July 9, 2026 at the Bohemian National Cemetery, Chicago. Memorials may be made to Mercy FHN hospice.
