Bobbie Jean Grayson, age 66, of Savanna, Illinois, departed from this life peacefully Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at her home. A Home-Going Service will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Faith For Miracle Deliverance & Worship Center, Freeport, Illinois. A visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Faith For Miracle Deliverance & Worship Center, Freeport, prior to the service. A memorial fund has been established in Bobbie’s memory.
On September 27, 1949, Robert Sr. and Ethel Lee Rice gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Bobbie Jean, in Clarksdale, MS. Bobbie was a vibrant and obedient child that blossomed into a beautiful young lady. It was during a visit in St. Louis with her sister, Beulah Mae, that Bobbie met the love of her life, Apostle Lornell Grayson. Bobbie and Lornell were united in holy matrimony on June 21, 1970. To this union two daughters were born, Pamela and Cassandra.
Bobbie went on to become a member of New Unity Deliverance & Worship Center where she served faithfully as an Exhorter and an Elder. She also co-founded New Life Deliverance & Worship Center with Apostle Grayson and served dutifully as pastor. Bobbie and Apostle Grayson also started a successful business, Reliable Engineering, that has sustained for almost 30 years.
Bobbie leaves behind her faithful and loving husband, Apostle Grayson, and her two daughters, Pamela and Cassandra. There are also four grandchildren: Carnell, DaVon, Aaliyah, and Solomon. There is also one sister, Beulah Mae Smith and one brother Rainey (Felecia) Rice, an uncle and an aunt, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
