Beverly Nowak Kent

Beverly Nowak Kent of Lanark passed away March 7, 2022 after a short illness. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 11, at the Lanark United Methodist Church in Lanark. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.

Beverly was born November 30, 1933 to Fay and June (Campbell) Brininger. Beverly was a 1952 graduate of Stockton High School. On October 3, 1954 she married Willard (Bill) Nowak at Wesley Methodist Church in Stockton. Beverly was a member of Lanark United Methodist Church. Bill died May 7, 1976. Beverly married Clyde Kent on July 4, 1981. Clyde died May 8, 2009. Beverly had a daycare in her home for many years. She was a Girl Scout Leader to many girls and taught Sunday School. Beverly enjoyed camping, vegetable and flower gardening, and playing Dominoes with her friends. Beverly was an active member of the Red Hatters Society for many years.

Beverly is survived by 3 daughters, Barbara Nowak (Sam Tucibat) of Baileyville, Janet (Norm) Groezinger of Stockton, and Julie (David) Wright of Lanark; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer (Bryan) Wieble, Brian (Vikkie) Groezinger, Angela (Brandon) Edwards, Jesse (Michelle) Bashaw, and Daniel (Cara) Bashaw; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 step-daughters, Sandy (Dick) Wagner and Donna (Gary) Leachman; 1 step-son, David Kent; 5 step-grandchildren; 12 great step-grandchildren; 2 great-great step-grandchildren; one sister, Donna Faye (Wayne) Noll of Stockton; and in-laws, Bob and Shirley Nowak, Donna Dombager, Ruth Reckenther.

Beverly is preceded in death by both husbands; 2 step-daughters, Mary and Norma; an infant brother; brother and sister-in-law, Earl (Lewie) and Ruth Brininger.
