Betty Eleanor Miller, age 76, formerly of Savanna and Argo Fay, Illinois passed away October 7, 2007, at the Wyndcrest Nursing Facility in Clinton, Iowa. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll, Illinois with Chaplin Ray Hilgendorf of Mercy Medical Center officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carroll. Visitation will be held from 5:00–8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2007 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll. A memorial fund has been established in Betty’s memory.
Betty was born May 30, 1931 in Savanna, the daughter of George and Viola (Ewalt) Yenney in Savanna, Illinois. She married John Edwards on July 5, 1949. She later married Milton Miller, on January 1, 1977 at Hope Methodist Church, Chadwick, Illinois.
Betty worked for twenty four years at Atwoods Manufacturing in Mt. Carroll, retiring in 1991. Betty enjoyed camping, cooking, reading, attending family reunions, and spending time with her family.
Betty will be deeply missed by her three daughters, Cathy (Lee) Siedenburg of Clinton, Iowa, Teresa Benischek of Durant, Iowa, and Lisa (Pete) Robinson of Savanna, Illinois; and one son Lonnie (Marsha) Edwards, of Heron Lake, Minnesota; and two step-sons, “Skippy” (Diane) Miller of Chadwick, Illinois, Gary Miller of Savanna; and one step-daughter JoAnne Thornberry of Savanna; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; a brother, Sonny (Marilyn) Yenney of Mt. Carroll, Viola (Don) Zink of Mt., Carroll and Georgia (Allen) Tripp of Sterling, Illinois.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband Milton; one daughter, Gaye Fliflet and two brothers Franklin and Keith Yenney.
