Betty L. Law-Gieson

Betty L. Law-Gieson, age 90, formerly of Chadwick, Illinois, died Friday, July 24, 2015 at Bria Nursing Home in Geneva, Illinois. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Evangelical Free Church, Chadwick. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in Chadwick Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in Betty’s memory.
Betty was born June 5, 1925, in Mt. Carroll, Illinois, the daughter of Lee and Minnie (Neveln) Law. She attended Mt. Carroll Community High School and graduated with the Class of 1943. On January 1, 1944, Betty married Walter Gieson. They celebrated 63 years of marriage before Walter’s death on January 24, 2007.
Betty is survived by a nephew, Rick Law of Geneva, Illinois; a niece, KristiAnn (Law) Okoye of Naperville, Illinois.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Walter; a son, Randy; her parents, Lee and Minnie; and a brother, Richard Law.
