Betty Andrews

Elizabeth “Betty” L. Andrews, age 87 of Delphi, Indiana, formerly of Savanna, Illinois, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Delphi, Indiana. A funeral mass will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna. Burial will take place in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Savanna. A visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2016, prior to the mass at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. A memorial fund has been established in Betty’s memory.
Betty was born on February 21, 1929, the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Gump) Deppa in Savanna, Illinois. She married Robert H. Andrews on November 4, 1950 in St. John’s Catholic Church, Savanna. Robert died on January 25, 2005.
Betty was a homemaker who treasured taking care of her family. She also worked at the Savanna Garment Factory and The Crystal Lounge in Savanna. Betty enjoyed the outdoors and tending to her flower gardens. Betty treasured spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Betty will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Vickie Allhouse of Fulton, Illinois and Kathie VanLoon of Flora, Indiana; three grandchildren, Jeromy VanLoon of Culver City, California and Tracy and Shaun Allhouse; and one great granddaughter, Cate VanLoon.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; two sons in-law, Don Allhouse and Steve VanLoon; and one brother, Donald Deppa.
