Bernice O. Marshall

Bernice O. Marshall, age 91, of Fulton, previously of Savanna, Illinois, died Monday, February 22, 2010 at Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Thomson. Private burial will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Sterling, Illinois. Visitation will be held 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friday February 26, 2010 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Thomson.
Bernice was born July 11, 1918 in Sabula, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Voltz) Swihart. On May 12, 1934, Bernice married Lester E. Marshall in Morrison, Illinois. They celebrated thirty-four years of marriage. Lester died in 1968.
Bernice worked many years at Eaton Corporation in Savanna, retiring in 1983. She was happiest when dancing with her husband, baking in her kitchen, or enjoying her embroidery work. Bernice was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Dixon, Illinois.
Bernice is survived by two daughters, Delores Stangeland of Dixon and Eleanor (Greg) Romankiw of Fulton; a son, Leroy (Rose) Marshall of Fulton; thirteen grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and eighteen great great grandchildren; She is preceded in death by her husband; a daughter; a granddaughter; a great grandson; four sisters, and four brothers.
