Barry Craig Ellithorpe

Barry Craig Ellithorpe, age 75, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away on June 30, 2023, at Allure Nursing Home in Stockton, Illinois.
Barry was born December 1, 1947, in Savanna to Leonard and Melva (Howell) Ellithorpe. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until 1968 when he was honorably discharged. After his time in the Army, he took an interest in many different areas of work. Barry was a jack-of-all trades, learning different skills and always loved to help others with odd jobs and handy work. He loved cars, his most favorite being a candy apple red 1958 Chevy Bel Air.
He learned multiple trades with schooling including roofing and siding, welding, and driving truck. He got his CDL in 1986 and drove truck for many years. But the jobs he enjoyed the most were welding jobs. Barry was an easy-going, kind, fun-loving guy with a great sense of humor. He got along with everyone that he met and made friends wherever he went throughout his whole life.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Jeff (Staci) Ellithorpe of Fargo, North Dakota and Karina Ellithorpe of Savanna; seven grandchildren; and his significant other, Tammy Osborne. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Leonard and Melva Ellithorpe.
