Barbara Tadel Mullady

Barbara T. Mullady, age 60, of Stockton, Illinois died peacefully at home Saturday, July 7, 2012. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Stockton, Illinois with Father Dean Smith as Celebrant. A memorial visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations for Safe Haven of Jo Daviess County, 1471 US Hwy 20 W., Elizabeth, Illinois 61028. Barbara was born April 4, 1952 in Lake Forest, Illinois, the daughter of Stan and Jeanette (Rataiczy) Tadel. She is a graduate of the Lake Forest high School with the Class of 1970. She went on to receive, with honors, an Anthropology Degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign. Barbara completed her education with an MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. On November 30, 1996, Barbara married Patrick Mullady in Lake Forest, Illinois. Barbara and Patrick enjoyed 15 years of marriage.
Barbara enjoyed years of working with accounting and finance as a Loan Development and Money Manager at the Bank of America, Chicago. She was the Managing Broker of Mullady Properties Inc, Stockton; Owner and Operator of Stockton Floral and Gifts; and worked as a Tax Preparer at H & R Block, Stockton. Barbara also had the opportunity to teach the Small Business Start-Up Class at Columbia College, Chicago.
She is a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Stockton. Barbara loved to learn about antiques, enjoyed reading, and was dedicated to her work. Her dogs held a special place in her heart. Barbara is described as being creative, innovative and determined; she was fearless in the pursuit of her goals.
Barbara's family includes her husband, Patrick of Stockton, Illinois; five step children, Patrick (Jeeanine) Mullady, Jr., Molly (Craig) Arbogast of Wayne, PA, Dan Mullady of Lake Villa, Conor Mullady of Chicago and Michael (Erin) Mullady of Columbus, Ohio; seven step grandchildren; her mother, Jeanette Tadel of Lake Forest; her brother, John (Lisa) Tadel of Lake Forest; and her sister, Connie Tadel of Lake Forest. Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Stan Tadel.
