Barbara L. Disher

Barbara L. Disher, age 67 of Savanna, Illinois, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 19, 2007 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna at 10 AM with Reverend Rick Zickefoose officiating. Interment will take place in Savanna Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held Sunday, March 18, 2007 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna.
Barbara was born on December 25, 1939 in Savanna, Illinois the daughter of Glenn and Neoma (Schueller) Anderson. She attended Savanna High School and married John Lee Disher on December 08, 1957, in Galena, Illinois. John passed away September 17, 1986
Barbara worked at General Electric of Morrison, Illinois for nearly thirty years in machine setup, were she was a long time member of the G.E. Gem Club. Barbara was a long time member of the Mt. Carroll, Church of God.
She loved to crotchet, and was an artist with yarn. Barbara also enjoyed her stuffed bear collection.
Barbara will be dearly missed by her mother Neoma (companion Ed Blasko) Anderson of Savanna; three sons, Steve Disher, of LasVegas, Nevada, Tom (Elaine) Disher of Mt. Carroll, and John (Kris) Disher of Savanna; three daughters Pam (Dave Jindrich) Pickens of Morrison, Illinois, Cathy (Carl) Eppenstein of Savanna, Chris (Bob) Whitten of Fulton, Illinois; two step daughters, Jackie Finch of Sterling, Illinois, Lori Alverado of Dixon, Illinois; two sisters, Joan (Harvey) Talbot of Savanna, Heloise Caven of Sherburn, Minnesota and a sister in law, Carol Dunnegan of Mt. Carroll.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, her father, a great grand daughter Felicity, a step son Jeff Disher, and two sisters Glenda Wacker and Vickie Anderson (in infancy).
