Arthur "Art" A. Green, Jr.

Arthur “Art” A. Green Jr., age 73, of Orangeville, Illinois, formerly of Savanna, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe, Wisconsin. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Burial will take place in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Wacker, Illinois. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. A memorial fund has been established in Art’s memory.

Art was born January 18, 1945 in Savanna, the son of Arthur Alexander Sr. and Viola Mae (Haring) Green. Art attended Savanna High School and graduated with the Class of 1963. Art worked for many businesses in the area. He also drove truck while he farmed. Art married Ann Moody on October 12, 1990. They celebrated 27 years together.

Art enjoyed helping people and lived life to the fullest. Art loved going for rides and always took the back roads for an adventure. Art treasured the time he spent with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Art will be dearly missed by his wife; two daughters, Shelly Mae (Mark) Fiene of Rock City, Illinois, Tammy Sue (Dave) Keister of Orangeville; two sons, Jeremy Allen (Sherry) Green of Forreston, Illinois, Timothy Alex (Kimberly) Green of Orangeville; two step-children, James (Kathy) Coleman of Edmund, North Dakota, Kathleen (Kirk LaBatt) Coleman, Lone Rock, Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Marlan Beaston of Clarksville, Tennessee and Shirley (Hugh) Rushton of Clarksville. Art was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Kelly Scott Green; a twin brother, Allen in infancy; three brothers, Gerald, David, and Merle Haring; a sister, Marjorie Schultz and his parents.
