Arnold D. Yenney Sr.

Arnold Donald Yenney, Sr., age 65, of Savanna, died Saturday, July 23, 2005 at home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna, with Pastor Michael Jones of the York Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery, rural Mt. Carroll. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 26 at the Funeral Home.
Arnold was born November 10, 1939 in Chadwick, Illinois, the son of Donald Roberts and Helen Marie (Shultz) Yenney. He married Sandra Joan Pedersen April 21, 1961 in Lanark, Illinois.
Arnold worked as a carpenter and farmer most of his life. He loved building and the outdoors. He also enjoyed working on cars.
Arnold will be dearly missed by his three sons, Arnold Yenney, Jr of Freeport, Illinois, Michael Yenney of Mt. Morris, Illinois and Roy Yenney of Clanton, Alabama; his daughter, Linda (Bradley) Nampel of Clanton, Alabama; his mother, Helen Yenney of Savanna; two brothers, Marvin (Mary) Yenney and Stanley Yenney; and two sisters, Ginnie (Bill) Thulen and Carol Kerkove, all of Savanna, Illinois. Arnold was preceded in death by his father.
