Arlene M. Eadie age 94 of Elizabeth, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Elizabeth Nursing Home in Elizabeth. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, Elizabeth. Burial will take place in the Elizabeth Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 Noon, prior to the funeral at the church. A memorial fund has been established in Arlene’s memory.
Arlene was born on December 12, 1920 in Patch Grove, Wisconsin, the daughter of Vernie and Cecile (Taylor) Monroe. She graduated from Patch Grove High School with the Class of 1939. On November 29, 1939, Arlene married the love of her life William John Eadie in Dubuque, Iowa. William passed away November 12, 1994 in Madison, Wisconsin.
Arlene worked for the Eaton Corp. for twelve years as a line worker and auditor.Arlene was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Elizabeth, Eastern Star and the Grandma Card Club. She loved spending time with family, friends and she especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Arlene will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Judy Williams of Elizabeth, Joan (Dean) Condell of Capron, Illinois; five grandchildren, Tracy (Raymie) Diestelmeier of Elizabeth, Trudy (Jeff) Reiter of Dubuque, Iowa, Greg (Vicky) Condell of Boston, Massachusetts, Todd Williams of Elizabeth and Mike (Meryl) Condell of Arlington Heights, Illinois; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Verna (Donald) Casper of Fennimore, Wisconsin.; and many special nieces and nephews.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, William; a great grandson, Adam; sister, Lois Bass; three brothers, Robert, Lester and Walter Monroe; one son in-law, Ken Williams; and a brother in-law, Walter Casper.
