Anthony “Tony” Joseph Biasi passed away peacefully at Big Meadows Nursing Home on November 4, 2025. Tony was born March 20, 1939 to Joseph and Florence (Sigafus) Biasi, in Savanna, IL.
In his early years, Tony loved exploring the area that is currently the State Park, with his brothers Dick, Larry and Tom, and many cousins and family friends. He spent his entire life living and working in Savanna. He worked at the Indian Head Supper Club, the City of Savanna as a trash hauler, and he worked maintenance at Mest Manor. He never shied away from hard work and he was very proud of the work he did.
Tony was a unique individual who was surrounded by people that wanted to help him succeed. And for that reason, the family is grateful for the time, patience, willingness and opportunities that so many residents of Savanna offered to Tony. While Tony led a simple life, he loved smoking his pipe and spending time watching the river at Marquette Park and was a long-time member of the Moose Lodge.
Tony is survived by his brother Tom (Linda) Biasi of Florida, his sister-in-law Martha Biasi of Savanna and 6 nephews and nieces and their families. He is proceeded in death by his mother Florence, his brothers Richard (Dick) and Larry Biasi.
A graveside service will be held Friday, November 7, at 11 a.m. at Savanna Township Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Savanna’s Moose Lodge, the staff at Mest Manor, the staff at Big Meadows, and to FHN Hospice. Tony was very blessed to be part of an incredible community. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Savanna Moose Lodge, in Tony’s memory.
