Annette Gehrts

Annette I. Gehrts age 74, of Savanna, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Illinois. Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
Annette was born on September 27, 1939, the daughter of Walter and Ruby (Marian) Regez in Monroe, Wisconsin. She attended Dakota High School and graduated with the Class of 1957. Annette was a homemaker, who cherished raising her family. Annette was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching the Chicago Cubs and the Green Bay Packers play. She also enjoyed throwing darts for Green’s Tap; she was on the dart league for three years. Most of all, Annette treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Annette will be dearly missed by her five sons, Richard (Barb) Meyers of Unionville, Missouri, Robert Gehrts of Savanna, Walter Gehrts of Stockton, Illinois, Shane (Lisa) Westphal of Stockton, and Sonny Westphal of Mt. Carroll; a daughter, Tamara Gehrts of Savanna; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Annette is preceded in death by one son, one daughter and a great-grandson in infancy.
