Anne Marie Dickau, age 35 of Savanna, Illinois, died suddenly at her home on December 16, 2016. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna with Father Moises Apostol as Celebrant. Cremation will take place following the service. A visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. A memorial fund has been established in Anne’s memory.
Anne was born on September 18, 1981, the daughter of Edward and Marianne (Campeggio) King in El Paso, Texas. She attended Savanna High School and graduated with the Class of 2000. She later attended Mount St. Clare College in Clinton, Iowa. Anne married Zachary Dickau on October 2, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna.
Anne was a compassionate and caring mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend. Anne loved people and it showed; she truly enjoyed helping people. She previously worked as a CNA at Big Meadows Nursing Home and Harbor Crest Nursing Home. Anne most recently worked as a CNA for Genesis Hospice. Anne loved to cook for her family. She treasured annual camping trips to Ontario, Wisconsin with her family. Anne and her family enjoyed playing cards and spending time outdoors, especially kayaking, canoeing and cookouts with family and friends. Most of all, Anne loved her entire family, especially her four children.
Anne will be dearly missed by her husband, Zach of Savanna; four children, Caleb King, Keegan Dickau, Noah Rannow, and McKenna Dickau; her mother, Marianne King of Savanna; her father, Edward (Peg) King of Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Christopher (Laura) King of Savanna, and Peter King of Davenport, Iowa; one sister, Tina (Jesse) Stretton of Savanna; mother-in-law, Julie (Ed) Sukut of Clinton, Iowa; father-in-law, Randy Dickau of Fulton, Illinois; sister-in-law, Natasha (Jon) Clausen of Clinton, Iowa; a brother in-law, Tyler Sukut of Clinton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Anne was proceeded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
