Angel Valdivia, age 55, of Savanna, Illinois, died August 19, 2016, at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. A visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon -2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. A memorial fund has been established in Angel’s memory.
Angel was born August 2, 1961, in San Pablo, Mexico, the son of Acansion and Bonifasia (Rodriguez) Valdivia. He attended Benito High School in Juarez, Mexico. On April 15, 1983, Angel married Elaine Vesperman in Mt. Carroll, Illinois.Angel was employed as a core operator at Grede Foundry in Browntown, Wisconsin for 17 years. He enjoyed biking, boating, gardening, and playing the lottery. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends.
Angel is survived by his wife, Elaine; three children, Aaron Valdivia, Nicholas Valdivia, and Bonnie Valdivia, all of Savanna; two grandchildren; his mother, Bonifasia; seven siblings, Leonor, Juan, Guadalupe, Pavla, Clementina, Nicolas, and Pio. He was preceded in death by his father; two nephews; and best friend, Antonio Magana.
