Alysia K. Marburger, age 27, of Sabula, Iowa died on October 7, 2008. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2008 at the Calvary Lutheran Church, Sabula with Reverend Robert Krueger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Sabula. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2008 at the Church.
Alysia was born November 5, 1980 the daughter of John A. and Leone K. Marburger in Sabula. She graduated from East Central High School, where she was a National Honor Student, Class of 1999. Alysia attended the University of Iowa and Clinton Community College Nursing School. She was preparing for the clinical phase of her Registered Nursing training. On Monday, December 10, 2007, she became the proud mother of a beautiful little girl, Aviera Noelani, the pride of her life.
Alysia loved spending time with family and friends, especially her daughter, Aviera. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and trying new recipes, her favorites included Mexican and Asian dishes. While attending college in Iowa City, she catered meals for the Hancher Auditorium performers. Alysia enjoyed listening and singing along to all types of music from Rapp to Classical.
Alysia will be deeply missed by her parents and sweet little daughter, Aviera; sisters, Jennifer White of Sabula, Melissa Marburger of Pella, Iowa and Linda (Mark) Milder of Sabula; grandfather, Eddie Marburger of Sabula; nieces and nephews, Kenneth John Arnold, Derrick Arnold and Kasey Walker, Mallory, Dalton and Chandler Milder and numerous friends. Alysia is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Alberta Marburger; Maternal Grand Parents, Leo and Beth Lehnertz.
Receiving the honor of pallbearers are Kenneth John Arnold, Derrick Arnold, Dalton Milder, Dave Marshall, Ken Marburger and Roger Campbell.
