Alma Schriner, age 95 of Clinton, Iowa, passed away at home, Monday, August 24, 2020. A graveside committal service will be held Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 10am at Oak Hill Cemetery in Mt. Carroll, IL. Family and friends are welcome to gather at Law Jones Funeral Home in Mt. Carroll, at 9:30am, before processing to the cemetery. Please know, all are invited to share in Alma’s life at

Alma was born July 13, 1925, in Mt. Carroll, IL, the daughter of Glen and Mae (Neise) Schriner. She graduated from Mt. Carroll High School.
Alma worked at the garment factory in Savanna for a number of years. She then moved to Clinton and worked 26 ½ years at Pearson’s Dry Cleaning. She kept both her body and mind active. She loved going on walks, and enjoyed working on jig saw and mind puzzles. She spent her entire life in our corner of the world and built lasting relationships with her family, who she loved dearly, and many friends.
Alma will be dearly missed by her brother Don Schriner; many nieces and nephews, including Ron and Pat Buckwalter, Bobette Schriner, Larry and Glenda Lott, Kathy Robbie, Kelly Plock, Brian Kness, and Glenn Kness, Jr. Alma is preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Mae; brothers, Lyle and Robert; and sisters, Betty, Polly, and Donna.
