Allen Mark Steen

Allen Mark Steen, 76, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Born on January 30, 1950, in Des Moines, Iowa, he was the son of Kenneth C. and Helen (Randecker) Steen. 

A gifted pianist, Allen shared his passion for music after graduating from the Springfield Conservatory of Music. He later proudly served his country as a Specialist in the United States Army. 

Allen is survived by his mother, Helen Steen of Rockford, IL; two brothers, John (Tina) Steen of Fredericktown, OH, and Paul (Rita) Steen of Stockton, IL; two sisters, Janelle (Roger) Haas of Mt. Carroll, IL, and Barbara (Bill) Mulford of Greenville, SC; and dozens of beloved nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; brothers, Charles and Steven; sister-in-law, Ann Steen; nephew, Nathan Steen; and niece, Lisa Law. 

A private family graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery.
