Alice Nehrkorn

Alice M. Nehrkorn, age 94, of Savanna, Illinois, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Cremation will take place and burial of ashes will take place in Savanna Township Cemetery.
Alice was born October 17, 1920, in Washington D.C., to Clarence and Lillian (Fphittle) Kyle. She married Charles Nehrkorn on June 6, 1947 in Savanna. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening with her husband. They always had a bountiful garden every year. Alice always had a sparkle in her eye and a sweet smile. She lived her life with tenacity, determination, persistence, and a strong faith in the Lord. She was the best mother and grandmother ever and will be dearly missed by her children and grandchildren.
Alice is survived by her two children, Marilyn (Philip) Klaren of Fort Myers Beach, Florida, and Kelly Edwards of Savanna, Illinois; five grandchildren, Orv (Jessica) Curry, Val (Michele) Curry, Gabby Negrin, Amber Edwards, and Shane Edwards; and two great-grandchildren, Evan Garrett Curry, Stella Katelyn Curry and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Cravatta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; a daughter, Faith; and her parents, Clarence and Lillian.
