Alice Elizabeth Moshure, age 77, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois died peacefully, Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at her home, in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2007 at the Mt. Carroll United Methodist Church, Mt. Carroll, Illinois with Reverend Mark Harkness officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carroll. Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., on Sunday, July 22, 2007 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll.
Alice was born on July 14, 1930, the daughter of J. Ernest and Thelma (Brook) Walter in Columbus, Ohio. Alice attended Lanark High School, graduating with the Class of 1949. On December 2, 1951, Alice married Rayfield A. Moshure in Lanark, Illinois.
Alice dearly loved being a Homemaker and raising her family. She was a member of the Mt. Carroll United Methodist Church, Mt. Carroll United Methodist Women’s Organization and Savanna Moose Auxiliary, Savanna, Illinois. She enjoyed spending her time cooking, flower gardening, knitting, crocheting, painting and taking care of children.
Alice will be dearly missed by her husband, Rayfield of Mt. Carroll; two sons, Arthur A. (Linda) of Freeport, Illinois and Jerry T. (Jeanne) of Camanche, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; a brother Les (Mary Ellen) Walter of Lanark, Illinois and a sister Virginia (George) Schall of Yuma, Arizona.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents.
