Alice E. Adolph, 91, formerly of Fairhaven, Illinois, died Sunday, November 27, 2005 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, Illinois. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Chadwick, Illinois. Burial will be in the Fairhaven Cemetery. A visitation will be held 10:00–11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Chadwick. Memorials may be given to the family in Alice’s memory. Alice was born January 16, 1914 in Odin, Illinois, the daughter of Willie and Edna (Brown) Rippy. Alice married Vernon J. Adolph on October 29, 1932 in Morrison, IL. Vernon passed away August 8, 1982, in Morrison. Alice drove a school bus for the Fairhaven school district for many years. She was a member of the Fairhaven Methodist Church, the Ladies Aid, and the Republican Women. Alice also taught Sunday school. She enjoyed knitting, all fancy needlework, and flower gardening. Alice especially enjoyed spending time with her family.Alice will be deeply missed by three sons; Vernon Jr. (Darlene) Adolph of Milledgeville, IL, Raymond (Judith) Adolph of Morrison, IL, Lawrence “Stan” (Margaret) Adolph of Aurora, IL; one sister, Agnes Adcock of Galesburg, IL; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; four brothers, two sisters, and one infant sister.
