Alden “A.J.” Joseph Tiegs, age 20, of Fulton, IL, passed away in a tragic work accident on October 31, 2024, in Clinton, IA. A celebration of his life will be held on a future date.
A.J. was born January 27, 2004, in Clinton, IA. At a young age he was adopted by his grandparents, who lovingly raised, and homeschooled him, in Savanna, IL.
As a child, A.J. showed a love for all animals, that carried with him through adulthood. He was an enthusiastic gamer, loving the thrill of a challenge, especially when it came to playing online with his friends. He had an adventurous spirit, kayaking on little local rivers, and fishing wherever he could find a relaxing spot. Music was also a major part of his life, and because of this he learned to play guitar, and loved to relax listening to his favorite bands and artists.
A.J. had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh that will be missed dearly by family and friends alike. He was optimistic and joyful about the life that lay before him, and because of this he worked hard and loved deeply. He held many family members and friends in high regard and truly valued time spent with his new-found love, Vanessa Faubel.
He is survived by his grandparents and adoptive parents, Florian “Butch” and Sheila Tiegs, Sr.; brother, Avery; sisters, Reese, Drew, and Daphney, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends. All who will miss his bright smile and infectious laugh every day.
