Alberta Marie Nailor, age 74, of Savanna, Illinois, died Thursday, September 5, 2013 at home. A private family burial will take place at Oak Knoll Cemetery, Sterling, Illinois.
Alberta was born August 17, 1939 in Lanark, Illinois the daughter of Reuben and Ethel (Crofton) Nailor. Alberta worked as a Nurse at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Family meant everything to Alberta, and that is where she spent her time.
Alberta will be dearly missed by her three sons, Allen (Peggy) Gerdes of Lebanon, Illinois, and Steven (Rita) Gerdes of Morrison, Illinois; two daughters, Patricia (Chester) Allsup of Abbeyville, Georgia and Karen Mennenga of Savanna; nine grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Roger David Gerdes; her husband, David Gerdes; two sisters; Jean Beachy and Joyce Wilkinson; and one brother, Earl Nailor.
