Alberta Ruth Breed

Alberta Ruth Breed, age 87 of Elizabeth, Illinois, died Monday, May 14, 2007 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday May 23, 2007 at the Elizabeth Cemetery in Elizabeth, Illinois.
Ruth was born on March 7, 1920, the daughter of William E. and Grace (Crackenburger) Roberts in Thomson Township. She attended Union School in Thomson Township through the 8th grade. She married Miles Breed in LaCrescent, Minnesota, Miles died in 1966 in Elizabeth. Ruth owned and operated Breeds Livestock Sale Barn in Elizabeth for over twenty-five years, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed working and keeping busy, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Ruth will be dearly missed by two sons, Robert Breed of Elizabeth and Kermit Breed of Elizabeth; two grandchildren, Miles (Keri) Breed of Dubuque, Iowa and Trent Breed of Elizabeth; two great grandchildren Madlin and Gavin; one sister, Margaret Wing of Elizabeth; one sister-in-law, Marian Roberts; and several nieces and nephews
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, William Robert Jr. and Harold.
