Alan Kenneth Anderson, age 53, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, died Monday, June 27, 2005, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2005 at the Bethesda Evangelical Lutheran Church of Morrison, Illinois. Reverend Susan Davenport will officiate. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt.Carroll, Illinois. Alan was born January 14, 1952, in Morrison, Illinois, the son of Kenneth and Louise (Smith) Anderson. Alan graduated from the Morrison High School, Class of 1970. On June 29, 1996 he married Rita Rogers in Morrison. Alan was the Owner and Operator of Northern Illinois Diesel near Mt. Carroll for twenty-two years. When he was younger he worked for Spencer’s Automotive and Quality Ready-Mix, both in Morrison, Illinois. Alan was a member of the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison. He very much enjoyed spending time in his cabin in Montello, Wisconsin. He had fun fishing, traveling to Hawaii and was an avid Nascar Racing Fan. Most of all, Alan loved and enjoyed his children and grandchildren, especially watching his granddaughters play softball. Alan and Rita loved going to the movies. Alan will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Rita of Mt. Carroll; his three sons, Michael (Dana Dunagan) Anderson of Morrison; Kevin (Genevieve) Remmers of Sterling, Illinois and Michael (Tami McCray) Remmers of Mt. Carroll; three daughters, Suzan Anderson of Morrison; Karmin (Drew) Bush and Kathy (Randy) Newstrand, both of Chadwick, Illinois; six grandchildren, Tory, Celeena, Aaron, Emily, Allyson and Noah; two brothers, Gerald (Monica) Anderson of Morrison, IL and David (Kathleen) Anderson of Rockford, Illinois. Alan is preceded in death by his parents.
