Adrienne was born December 17, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Edward and Lillian (Szygenda) Novinski. She is a 1952 graduate of Lindbloom High School, Chicago. Adrienne went right to work at Spiegel Catalog. It was during these years that she met the love of her life, George Iwanski.

After George returned from his service in the Army, Adrienne and George were married on May 19, 1956 in Chicago. As George went to work for Consolidated Freightways, Adrienne stayed at home to raise their four children, this was the tougher job. The kids fondly remember Mom’s Ox-Tail soup and sweet Kolaczki cookies. Raising four children had its moments, and Mom will be remembered for being the person her kids could always call to pick them up, “She was a fierce defender and so supportive all the time.” She and George celebrated 61 years of marriage until George’s passing in 2017.

Adrienne and George moved out to the Elizabeth area in 1997. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Elizabeth. She enjoyed craft shows and going to the casino. She was an avid reader, loved to collect recipes, and great Bears fan.

Adrienne will be dearly missed by her two sons, Daniel Iwanski of Chicago Ridge, Illinois and Joseph Iwanski of Milan, Illinois; a daughter, Carol Want of Elizabeth, Illinois; a son-in-law, Christopher Cassara of Monee, Illinois; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a brother Steven Novinski of Momence, Illinois. Adrienne is preceded in death by her parents; husband George; a daughter, Christine Cassara; and her brother, Edward Novinski.
